Pirates to loan out Mvelase

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are expected to finalise the loan of Mpho Mvelase who joined the team last season from Chippa United.

News reaching Sport24 is that Polokwane City are in line to get the player on loan for next season.

A source said that Pirates want to give him a chance to go somewhere for game time as he is finding it difficult to break into the team.

"Pirates want to loan Mvelase out and the team that is showing interest already is Polokwane City," the source said.

"It's not clear whether the deal had been agreed or not or if the team has just proposed to loan him out.

"But he will go out on loan this coming season."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
