Pirates return to training

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates resumed full training on Tuesday at Rand Stadium, ahead of their meeting with SuperSport United on Saturday.

Head coach Vladimir Vermezovic took his players through their paces on the training field, as the Buccaneers look see off the challenge from their Pretoria counterparts, in the Telkom Knockout Cup match.

According to the club's website, Vermezovic’s biggest  "headache" will be in the goalkeeping department where the Serbian coach will have to decide between Brighton Mhlongo and Philani Zikala to start in goals on Saturday.

Mhlongo, a Bucs’ development Program graduate, and PSL campaigner Zikala have been both in excellent form at training and in the Multichoice Diski Challenge.

Meanwhile, full back Thabo Matlaba resumed full training with the rest of the squad, and is available for selection.

The Buccaneers will host Matsatsantsa at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 20.15.
