Pirates ready for Leopards

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates right-back Happy Jele insists that although AC Leopards are a changed team from the one they faced in 2012, they will play the same game.

Pirates left the shores of South Africa on Thursday for Congo where they will play AC Leopards in their first CAF Confederation Cup group stage game and Jele says they are up for the game.

Jele said they have been there before and they know what to expect.

"We are ready for Leopards," Jele told Sport24

“Yes we know it's not the same team that we played two years ago but the culture of the team is the same.

"Just like us, we have a somewhat different team from the one which last played against them but we are ready for them."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
