Johannesburg - Following two consecutive defeats, Orlando Pirates PRO Mickey Modisane has said the Buccaneers are ready to bounce back to winning ways when they face Polokwane City on Sunday.
The Soweto giants will host PSL strugglers in the first round of the Telkom Knock-Out at the Orlando stadium as they aim to redeem themselves from back-to-back defeats at the hands of arch rivals Kaizer Chiefs (MTN8 Final) and Chippa United (PSL).
Modisane hinted that the Sea Robbers are all out to turn things around as a result.
"We are ready to turn things around on Sunday," said Modisane.
"We have to get back to our winning ways and redeem the pride of the team.
"Now we are back again in cup football.
"We lost two games in a row against Chiefs and Chippa United, yes am aware of that.
"But it won’t be good for us to lose three games consecutively.
"It will affect the players, management team and the fans psychologically if we lose on Sunday.
"We need to turn things around against Polokwane City."
The Buccaneers defeated Rise and Shine 3-0 in their last league meeting, but Modisane dismissed talks stating that they will have a free walk in the park.
"We won 3-0 against them already this season but now we are competing in a cup match.
"It won’t be easy this time around because they have changed a coach since.
"They are also not doing so bad in the league at the moment as you might have seen on the log."
The much anticipated match will commence at 15:30
