Mahamutsa, 32, was discharged from hospital on Wednesday afternoon after being involved in a car accident in Johannesburg earlier in the day.

Pictures of the accident created a buzz on social networking sites throughout the day.

Pirates' media manager, Mickey Modisane, confirmed to the Kick-Off website that the player was back in training on Thursday morning.

Modisane described Mahamutsa as a tiger and said he is not affected by trauma or aftershock.

Mahamutsa is still recovering from a shoulder injury he was nursing before the accident.
