Cape Town - Orlando Pirates’ new recruit, Felipe Onovo, has impressed the club’s coaches after only his first week of training.
The goalkeeper from Equatorial Guinea might struggle to wrestle the number one jersey away from Brighton Mhlongo but the Bucs goalkeeper coach is impressed with what he has seen nonetheless.
“I’ve monitored him in training and he’s looking good,” Pirates goalkeeper coach, Williams Okpara, told Sport24.
“Somebody that is willing to learn, that is what I’ve seen in him so far.”
Okpara, a Pirates legend, believes that the 21-year-old has a bright future ahead of him at the club.
“I cannot judge him only from training, I will have to see him in a warm up game but from what I have seen he looks like a good signing.
“He only has to wait for his time because he has got good potential.”
