Speaking to the clubs official website, Pietersen says that he has already learnt so much from Steve Barker and looks to help Usuthu climb out of the relegation zone.

“I am excited to be here,” said Pietersen.

“The training has been great and the rest of the players are amazing.

“I have only been here for a short period of time but I have learned a lot from coach Steve Barker.”

Speaking about the high level of training and the pressure in the club at the moment, he said that will make every player to work extra hard.

“Everyone is working extra hard here, I don’t think there are any favourites – we are all given the same treatment.

“The mere fact that we are in this position is a motivating factor for us all.

“What is good is that one is playing with quality players so I also get to work hard and aim to improve my game at all times,” he said.
