Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder Thuso Phala has talked up his side's Premiership prospects following a number of big additions in the off-season.
Coach Gordon Igesund has bolstered his squad with several signings after steering Matsatsantsa to a sixth-place finish in the 2014/15 Premiership season.
Dove Wome, Michael Boxall, Grant Kekana and Phumelele Bhengu have been drafted in by the former Bafana boss, while free agent Bongani Khumalo is currently training with the Swanky Boys in a bid to earn a contract.
Phala beleives the new additions will give United the edge in the upcoming campaign.
"I think we will have a great season," Phala told Football411.com. "If you look at the players that have been signed, they are all quality players and I believe they will add a lot of value.
"If you look at the experience we will have at the back I mean we signed Michael Boxall and now the club is also trying to sign Bongani Khumalo.
"These are players that have been player overseas and playing international experience for a while and their experience will improve us a lot as a team."
Meanwhile, Phala has admitted that he is aiming to improve his goal tally in the upcoming campaign.
He added: "Obviously for me personally I know I get into a lot of good goalscoring areas.
"And I get a lot of goalscoring opportunities to score so I think if can improve on my finishing than I can get more goals.
"I can score more goals that I've scored in the last couple of seasons and that is what I am looking to do this season."
