Cape Town - SuperSport United winger, Thuso Phala, has thrown his weight behind Serame Letsoaka to be a success as Golden Arrows head coach.
The former United assistant coach was roped in last month by the KZN outfit, fresh on the back of their promotion to the Premiership.
Letsoaka replaced Shaun Bartlett, who was given the boot after guiding the club to the National First Division (NFD) championship.
Phala told KickOff that Letsoaka will especially be missed in the dressing room for his calm demeanour in heated moments.
"He's a good coach and I think he deserves an opportunity to lead a team. He will do well at Golden Arrows," Phala said.
"He was not treated as an assistant coach here at SuperSport. We called him a head coach. We had two head coaches. We are really going to miss him and I wish him well at Arrows.
"We will miss his presence, his advice and his calmness because sometimes coach Gordon would be angry at us for not getting results then Serame would be around and be calm to show the confidence he has in the players."
