Pelembe in contention for Chiefs tie

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Helder Pelembe has been granted work permit and is available for selection against Kaizer Chiefs.

Phunya Sele Sele take on Amakhosi in a MTN8 Cup semi-final first-leg clash on Sunday, August 14 at the Free State Stadium.

Celtic, Public Relations Officer, Sello Nduna, confirmed the availability of the Mozambican, who is on loan from Orlando Pirates.

“Pelembe was granted his work permit on Wednesday and is available for selection for the Kiazer Chiefs match this Sunday,” Nduna said.

“Unfortunately Geoffrey Massa is yet to get his and we are still waiting for it before he can make his officially debut for the team.”

The two players are among a number of players signed by Celtic in the off-season while another of the new players, Vuyisile Wana, has been nursing an injury is yet to play for the team.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
