Papic to get the sack?

Cape Town - Chippa United coach Kosta Papic is the next PSL manager in danger of losing his job after falling out with the club's management.

According to KickOff.com, Kosta Papic has reportedly fallen out with club management with speculation mounting that the Serbian coach will be let go by Chippa United.

After five games of PSL action, Chippa United have managed just one win and a draw under the guidance of Papic, with the Port Elizabeth based-side just two points better off than last placed Polokwane City.

Ironically, the front-runner to replace Papic at Chippa United is Mich D'Avray, the former Moroka Swallows boss. The Chilli Boys next face the Dube Birds and a loss in that fixture will certainly further increase the tension between Papic and his current employers.

Chippa United's management are well known in the local soccer for having a tendency to seek new blood rather than wait and see if the current coach can turn the tide. Last season saw the club sack no less than three coaches.

The Chili Boys are set to face Moroka Swallows in their next PSL fixture at the Dobsonville Stadium.

The match will be played on Sunday, September 14. Kick-off is at 15:00.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
