Papic expresses his relief

Cape Town - Polokwane City coach Kosta Papic said the 2-0 win over Bidvest Wits on Wednesday was a source of great encouragement for his team, after what has been a rather barren spell in the Premiership.

While there were possibly many emotions involved when the victory was achieved, the one which Papic feels the most is relief.

Relief, that the club has returned to winning ways and relief because all the hard work which had been put into practise was finally starting to yield positive results.

"It was a good result, a good performance. Finally the result has rewarded us for what we've been doing the last couple of weeks," Papic said.

"I hope we're going to continue like this, and I'm happy with my players because I finally have the commitment I want from them. I hope this will be good for morale and help us for the next match."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
