The Sea Robbers, who are two points ahead of sole challengers Moroka Swallows at the summit, will end their season against Golden Arrows on Saturday.
Victory will guarantee Bucs - the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout champions - a second straight treble, with Palacios rating his team's prospects at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
"The fact that we are playing in Durban is a bigger motivation because Durban is like home for us," he told Pirates' official website.
"Our supporters are traveling from all corners of the country to inspire us in this tough match.
"I am certain that my players will be at their best."
The Peruvian added that he has sought to ease the pressure on his charges ahead of the decisive clash.
"This week I have decided to change things a bit at training. I want the players to relax and not think too much about the game on Saturday," he said.
"The training sessions have been very relaxed. I've introduced music and some other fun elements to get them off thinking too much about Arrows."
Palacios concluded by reiterating his faith in his star-studded outfit, which includes Bafana Bafana talents in Oupa Manyisa and Siyabonga Sangweni among others.
He said: "I've said it before and I will say it again, I believe I have the best players in the league and they are ready for whatever comes at them on the weekend. This situation is not new to them.
"Orlando Pirates has a lot of responsibility with this match and we hope things will work out for us on Saturday."
Swallows will also end their campaign in Durban against Maritzburg United on the same day.
