The group also included former Platinum Stars chairman, Ratanang Nke, who also donated a soccer kit along with football writer Ernest Fakude.
The players were there to give educational advice and they appealed to the school kids to put a lot of effort on their studies and avoid drugs.
“We are here to empower the kids about the importance of education, respecting their elders and also staying away from drugs,” Segolela said.
“We are very happy to have done our part in encouraging the kids and also assisting with a soccer kit and other things.”
Mere was also very happy to have been part of the touring group to make a difference in the lives of the kids.
“It means a lot to me to bring s a smile to these kids as we have also travelled a long and tough journey to be where we are today,” Mere said.
“I want the kids to know that anything is possible as long as you work hard and keep believing,” he said.
