PSL calm over fixture changes

Johannesburg - Premier Soccer League general manager Derek Blanckensee insists there will be no issues rescheduling the fixture list should any team pull out of CAF competition this season.

The full PSL fixtures list

According to the Football411website, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly considering withdrawing themselves from the CAF Champions League, having earned a spot in next year's continental showpiece after African football's governing body awarded South Africa two extra slots.

And while the current fixture list, released on Thursday, has already been set out with CAF competitions in mind, Blanckensee says a reshuffling would cause no major problems.

"That (Chiefs' withdrawal) won't be a problem because we already have the dates from CAF," Blanckensee said.

"But we haven't had a reply yet. We are not worried about that because the teams are not obliged to tell us. They have to tell SAFA, who in turn will inform CAF. In any case, the deadline is still some way to go."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
