1. Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs) – The Amakhosi ‘keeper proved once again why he is South Africa’s best shot-stopper with a sterling performance against FS Stars.

2. Siboniso Gaxa (Kaizer Chiefs) – Two assists to his name and a second consistent performance in the Absa Premiership.

3. Eric Mathoho (Kaizer Chiefs) – Was the rock in the Glamour Boys’ defence alongside Tefu Mashamaite last season and now is in search to find that form once again next to Siyanda Xulu. The lanky defender put in a high work rate session at FNB Stadium.

4. Vuyisile Ntombayithethi (University of Pretoria) – Kept a clean sheet against a busy Polokwane City and contained Puleng Tlolane alongside Vukile Mngqibisa in the heart of defence for AmaTuks.

5. Ayanda Gcaba (Orlando Pirates) – Scored the opening goal against Chippa United to get the ball rolling for the Sea Robbers.

6. Siphiwe Tshabalala (Kaizer Chiefs) – A stunning strike and as well as an assist to his name, the Chiefs skipper put in a wonderful performance on at Soccer City.

7. Mpho Makola (Orlando Pirates) – Certainly a week the midfielder would not forget. Scored a brace against Chippa United, followed by an immediate call-up to the national side and to top it all off rattled the net in a CAF tie to secure a semi-final berth for the Ghost.

8. Atusaye Nyondo (University of Pretoria) – Dictating from the midfield area, Nyondo was the reason Khethukuthula Zwane got his brace in quick succession.

9. Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns) – Zwane solely missed out of an opportunity due to the consistency of Billiat as the attacking midifleder supplied Sundowns with an assist and a goal in mouth-watering encounter against Bidvest Wits.

10. Kermit Erasmus (Orlando Pirates) – One wonders why Shakes Mashaba still omits Erasmus from his Bafana plans. The striker has been consistent for the Buccaneers and gets this week’s nod ahead of Ajax Cape Town hero, Prince Nxumalo.

11. Cuthbert Malajila (Mamelodi Sundowns) – Pitso Mosimane’s strike weapon continues where he left off last season and netted an all important double to hand the Chloorkop side over Wits.
