Cape Town - Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Felipe Ovono had several positives to take way from his side's performance following a 2-0 victory over AC Leopards in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Equatorial Guinea international made his full debut for the Buccaneers on Saturday night and produced an impressive display in goal as goals from Mpho Makola and Oupa Manyisa secured a comfortable win.
Ovono praised the performance of his team-mates and thanks them for helping him settle into the starting line-up.
"Tonight was a good outing for the entire team," Ovono told the club's official website.
"Our objective was to secure our passage to the semi-final and we did just that.
"Obviously as a goalkeeper it’s always good to keep a clean sheet and help the team win. I am glad that in one way or another; I helped the team achieve its objective."
He added: "My team-mates must also be applauded for the way they supported me throughout the match. They made it easier for me to settle into the match."
The result sees Pirates book their place in the semi-finals of the competition alongside Zamalek of Egypt.
