One match at a time - Rakhale

Cape Town - Thabo Rakhale believes Orlando Pirates are heading towards getting the right formula ahead of their Ajax Cape Town clash.

Speaking to Pirates official website, Rakhale, who put in a busy spell against Mamelodi Sundowns admit that improving their chances upfront against Ajax is a priority.

“We are taking it one match at a time until we get back to where we want to be,” said Rakhale.

“We didn’t win on Wednesday but we are starting to play the way we want, it took a collective Team effort to stop the losing streak and also to do it playing such positive football it shows we are working hard to get back that confidence as a Team.

“With Ajax we will definitely want to improve by creating more chances up front, play more positive and attacking football.

“Look we are playing at home in Orlando so of course we want to win just to boost our moral as a Team and also for our supporters so we will go out there and play as a unit, execute the game plan and fight for a win on Saturday night,” said the midfielder.

Pirates have won 11 of their 15 home matches against Ajax, suffering just two defeats in the process.

Kick-off is at 20:15 on Saturday, December 13.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
