Cape Town - Kenya international Kevin Omondi has parted company with Moroka Swallows without making a single appearance for the Soweto club.
Omondi was signed during the off-season, but his progress was delayed by work permit issues which dogged many new signings in the Premier Soccer League this season.
Swallows CEO Leon Prins confirmed his departure to Mzansi Football on Monday, which will free up a foreign space should the Birds decide to recruit outside of South Africa.
The 24-year-old joined Swallows from reigning Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia, where he was on loan from the FISA Academy.
