Cape Town - James Okwuosa admitted both the management and the players at Chippa United were at fault for their poor showing in the Absa Premiership this season.

The club survived relegation by the skin of the teeth on the final day of league action, despite a 2-0 loss to champions Kaizer Chiefs.

Chippa finished 14th and only avoided being dragged into the promotion-relegation play-off series by virtue of having a better goal difference than Moroka Swallows.

Okwuosa risked the wrath of both the club's management and his team-mates by revealing many of the problems at the club this season.

"We made a lot of mistakes, both management and players," he told KickOff.

"I won't lie to you; some of the players have not been professional.

"We should have been professional, because this is our careers and as for next season, the management of the team will take it from there.”
