Obada hails Rosslee’s impact

Johannesburg - Moroka Swallows midfielder Felix Obada has heaped praise on newly appointed coach, Craig Rosslee, following their 1-0 win over Maritzburg United last Friday.

Obada was on target for the Dube Birds when they defeated the Team of Choice to boost their Absa Premiership survival in an exciting encounter played at Dobsonville Stadium.

The Nigerian international also cited that, despite feeling ecstatic to be on the scoresheet, credit must be given to his team-mates for their effort to grab the maximum points on the day.

“It is always good to be on the scoresheet for any player,” said Obada.

“But at the end of the day, it’s all about team effort and hard work.

“Big ups to all my team-mates and our coach for that.

“Playing under a coach like him can make you play better as a team, and that’s what we have been doing since he took over.

“It’s easy to play in a style which he wants and we are all playing according to his instructions.

“And there have been changes in our team since he came on board and his impacts are really paying off. “

Swallows are currently lying second from bottom with only two games left to play this season.

They face Ajax Cape Town at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday, before completing the season at home against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

Kick-off for Wednesday’s clash is at 19:30.
