No offers for Van Heerden

Cape Town - Contrary to reports, AmaZulu’s marketing manager Lunga Sokhela says there have been no offers for Bafana Bafana left-back Marc van Heerden.

Van Heerden was linked to a number of PSL clubs after AmaZulu were relegated and the defender’s star seemed to get brighter after some good performances for Bafana recently.

However Sokhela says the club actually had no offers for Van Heerden, or any other players mentioned in reports like Sadate Akoriko and Sifiso Hlanti.

“The reports that Van Heerden, Hlanti and Akoriko could not leave the club because of our high price tag on them are untrue,” Sokhela said on AmaZulu’s website.

“These remain rumours. We only read about these things in the media and there is no club that came to us to make an offer.”
