No need to panic - Lekgwathi

Johannesburg - Following their CAF Champions League defeat over the weekend, Orlando Pirates skipper Lucky Lekgwathi has urged the Buccaneers faithful not to press the panic button just yet.

Lekgwathi, 37, told the SowetanLIVE website that his charges are still in control of their group despite a 2-1 loss to Zamalek in Egypt last Sunday.

"There is no need to panic after the defeat by Zamalek because we will bounce back,” Lekgwathi said.

"We are still in complete control of our group as log leaders," said Lekgwathi.

Optimistically, “Phinda Mzala” also said that the Happy People will collect the maximum number of points left on offer in their remaining two games against AC Leopards of Congo and the other Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

“We will definitely win the two games against Leopards and Al Ahly to qualify for the semi-finals, which is our objective," added Lekgwathi.

The 1995 title holders are still on top of Group A due to their superior goal difference.

Pirates' next game is away to Leopards in Brazzavile on Saturday, September 14 (kick-off 15:30 SA time).
