Thohoyandou - Ahead of their much anticipated clash against Black Leopards over the weekend, veteran Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvethe says they will not be intimidated by the Lidoda Duvha supporters who are expected to fill the Thohoyandou Stadium to its capacity.
The Dube Birds and Lidoda Duvha will lock horns in a PSL and NFD relegation/promotion playoffs encounter on Sunday.
In an exclusive interview with Sport24 on Friday, the ever-green Nomvethe said it would be a normal situation to play against a massive crowd rallying behind their team.
“No, we are not feeling any pressure at all,” said Nomvethe.
“We are also a big team in the country, so we are used to playing in a full capacity stadium.
“I am aware that people from Venda will come out in numbers to support Black Leopards but we are also ready for them and their massive supporters won’t intimidate us.
“We play against teams like Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the PSL and we always play with a massive support for them and we don’t tremble in such situations.
“So to us it will be a normal situation to play in a fully-packed stadium, nothing new.”
A loss for Swallows would end their hopes of returning to the Absa Premiership next season, while Leopards would be hoping to put one foot in top flight football.
Kick-off is set to commence at 15:00.
