Cape Town - SuperSport United striker Kingston Nkhatha reveals the side is determined to progress to the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup at the cost of Golden Arrows.

Matsatsantsa host the National First Division (NFD) side at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

Nkhatha admitted the focus in training has been specifically on winning the encounter, rather than concentrating too much on who the opposition is.

"This week's training sessions were good like any other days. The focus is obviously on our next Cup match on Saturday," he said.

"We are not focusing on the opponents but on winning the match."

However, he said they would not be underestimating their NFD opponents.

"Arrows are doing well in the league and this is going to be a tough cup match," he added.

"They are showing intentions of coming back into the PSL.

"You can't be complacent playing against teams in the NFD or clubs in the lower ranks.

"However, it is a great feeling we are playing at home and I played there on countless occasions with my former teams."

The forward spoke of his flourishing strike partnership with Jeremy Brockie and how it helped that they both arrived at the club at a similar time.

"I must double the effort. I enjoy working with any striker in our department," he said.

"In the case of Brockie it is a lot easier because we almost came at the same time and it looks like the technical team is happy with the progress and how we carry out our job upfront."
