The Zimbabwe international joined Matsatsantsa from Kaizer Chiefs in the January transfer period and has quickly cemented his place in the team after forming a deadly partnership with fellow newcomer Jeremy Brockie.

Back-to-back Premiership victories have left United on course for a top-eight finish this term, while they also take on Golden Arrows in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, and Nkhatha has credited the team's togetherness for their recent run of form.

"We are playing for each other and we understand each other as players," Nkhatha is quoted as saying by Soccer Laduma.

"The understanding is bringing us results which we need. It won't be easy as other teams are also fighting.

"We just have to continue with our understanding and following what the coach wants us to do and things will work put rightly."
