Ng'ambi still waiting for his work permit

Cape Town - Platinum Stars midfielder Robert Ng'ambi is still waiting for his work permit before he can start playing in the new season.

The Malawian midfielder, who extended his stay at Dikwena for another year, had his previous work permit expire and he didn't feature in the team's opening game against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ng’ambi scored four PSL goals last season for Dikwena, his lowest tally in three seasons, however he did play in a lot fewer games due to injury.

A source at the club says that they hope he would have received his permit before the end of the week.

"Robert is still waiting for his work permit," the source said.

“But I think by the end of the week he will get it.

“It normally takes just two weeks to a month before it comes out and he has waited for almost a month now.

“The coach wants him for the coming games and let's hope he will get his work permit soon.”
