Chiefs wasted a succession of chances, and Stuart Baxter later said it was probably harder to miss than score, but the home side were not without their chances, as shown by the fact that Brilliant Khuzwayo was named Man of the Match.
After the game, Papic felt the stalemate was a fair result.
“It was a good game from what I saw and the only thing that was missing were the goals,” KickOff.com website quotes him as saying.
“Both teams were creating chances and I don’t think any team deserved to win the match, but both of us [Chiefs and Polokwane] are thinking about missed chances to win the match.”
Papic added: “I think my team showed something different than before; they showed character. Like I said before the match, we came to win and were going to attack. We did that and everything but score a goal.”
