Ncikazi named Maritzburg boss

Cape Town - Maritzburg United have unveiled Mandla Ncikazi as their new head coach for the 2015/16 season.

The Team of Choice also confirm that the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer Fadlu Davids will serve as his assistant.

Ncikazi has been at the club for a season and a half already, where he worked as previous coach Steve Komphela’s right hand man.

Davids is also no stranger to the coaching bench at Harry Gwala Stadium, having moved into a coaching role under Ernst Middendorp when he retired from football in 2012. Since then he had followed Middendorp to Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United, but now he is back in the Midlands.

Maritzburg finished last season in eighth place – their best ever performance in the PSL.
