Cape Town - Sifiso Myeni says Orlando Pirates will be looking to record a convincing victory over the Uganda Revenue Authority in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.

Pirates, the only South African club to have won the CAF Champions League, think that the Confederation Cup is just as important and Myeni intends on performing to the best of his ability this weekend and for the remainder of the campaign.

“Yes most definitely, we are taking the Confed Cup seriously,” Myeni told goal.com.

“For us, there's no difference between the Champions League and the Confed Cup really. They are both important to us.

“Fortunately, we gained valued experience from our previous run in a CAF competition, and we definitely know what to do against URA this weekend.”

Football is ultimately a sport where goals are important but Myeni thinks there will be added significance in scoring plenty of them during the home leg of this fixture, primarily because travelling on the continent is so difficult.

“Goals are important in this competition you know.

“So obviously, we shall be looking to score a lot of goals as possible, in order to put pressure on them [URA] going into the second leg,” said Myeni.
