Mweene warns Urban Warriors

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene insists the former Premiership champions will get back to winning ways when they face Ajax Cape Town.

The Brazilians have not had the best of starts in 2015/16 following one win, two losses and a draw in the Premiership so far, while they were also dumped out of the MTN8 at the first hurdle.

Against the Urban Warriors at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this week, Sundowns will be looking to avoid a third consecutive defeat, but face the league leaders and newly-crowned Wafa Wafa champions.

Zambian keeper Mweene, though, says their past results will not negatively effect the team, telling Soccer Laduma: "We will continue fighting.

"It's true we haven't had a good start but the most important thing is how we can finish and for us to finish well we have to change things now.

"The mood in the team is high and every player wants to give it all for the team. We are looking forward to a win on Wednesday."

Kick-off is on Wednesday, September 23 at 19:30.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
