The Zambian scored in Usuthu’s 2-2 draw encounter against Polokwane City and also went on to give a good account of himself in the Durban sides frontline.

“I can’t say much except that I’m happy for the award the team has given me after a slow start,” said Mwape to the clubs website.

“From now I’m going to be working harder to repay the faith shown on me.”

When the Absa Premiership resumes Usuthu will face Chippa United at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday, October 18.

AmaZulu are currently last in the PSL, having won no games. Craig Rosslee’s charges have lost four games and drawn three. They have three Absa Premiership points

Kick-off is at 18:00.
