Cape Town - Eric Tinkler reveals that he was pleased with
the performance of Mpho Mvelase on his debut for Orlando Pirates.

The 25-year-old was not expected to start but Tinkler
reveals that due to Mpho Makola having tendinitis, the caretaker coach did not want to risk the midfielder.
“He made his debut tonight because we didn't want to risk
[Mpho] Makola, who has tendinitis,” said Tinkler as quoted by KickOff.
“Mvelase did well and played to the instructions. His
performance was pleasing for a guy who has just come into the side like this.
“He got the crowd behind him, set up chances and got used to
the tempo of the PSL game versus the friendlies. I'm very happy with him.”
