Mvelase started in Orlando Pirates’ 2-1 win over Aces at the Orlando Stadium and the win sees the Buccaneers stretch their unbeaten run in the league to eleven.

Speaking after the game, Mvelase said: "I’m pleased to have been given the opportunity to play against (Mpumalanga) Black Aces,” said the 25-year-old on the clubs website.

“Overall I was happy with my performance, all I look to do now is build from it and keep on improving.

“To mark my debut at Orlando Stadium was special. Not only is it the home of Orlando Pirates but also the home of South African football.

“Many stars have come to don this special jersey so it was an honour for me to play last night at Orlando and in front of our wonderful supporters.”
