Musona won't rejoin Chiefs

Cape Town - Knowledge Musona looks set to snub a possible return to Kaizer Chiefs in order to continue his efforts to make an impact in Europe.

The striker is currently on the books of Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim, but has been forced to train with club's reserves as he is not in manager Markus Gisdol's plans.

Musona spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Chiefs and it has long been rumoured that he could once again look to link up with Glamour Boys.

However, the player's agent, Mike Makaab, has said that despite Musona's current plight he will not be looking to return to South Africa.

"Obviously this is not an ideal situation for him," Makaab told Standard Sport.

"Definitely he will be playing in Europe and we are looking at opportunities there. He has said he wants to continue playing in Europe and play regularly. Hopefully we will secure him a move where he would be a regular as he desires.

"Knowledge is back to full fitness and doing well at training. He is eager to start playing. However one can never rule out any other kind of move."

The 24-year-old has been linked with a switch to Belgian outfit Racing Genk, and while Makaab confirmed that he was in discussions with a number of clubs, he would not reveal which ones.

"We have already started talking to certain clubs," he said.

"There is considerable interest and we have to make sure he gets a club. At the moment I cannot reveal the clubs interested in him. It would be unfair to start naming at this stage."
