Cape Town - Wilfred Mugeyi will reportedly take up a non-coaching role with
AmaZulu, with newly appointed head coach Steve Barker keen on Ronnie
Moroka as his assistant.
Mugeyi was handed the Usuthu reins on an interim basis following Craig Rosslee's sacking in October, but is now set for a technical position after Barker was brought in from University of Pretoria on Sunday.
AmaZulu team manager Japhet Zwane has since revealed the new tactician is preferring to work alongside Moroka, who recently returned to the Durban giants after initially leaving for Thanda Royal Zulu in 2013.
"I think they have given him a new offer and I'm not sure about his situation at this stage," Zwane told Kick Off.
"What I know is that the new coach came only himself and he will work with Ronnie [Moroka] and I don't know anything other than that.
"All I know is that he is no longer part of the senior side."
