Speaking to the Chiefs’ official website, Mthembu reveals that he is confident that the goals will come once he is settled in and has a clear indication of Baxter’s system.

“The Coach wants me to understand the Chiefs way of playing,” said "Shaka Zulu" as he is affectionately known by his fans.

“He (Baxter) is giving me an opportunity to learn and get integrated in the system.”

“I know I have to start scoring goals but he told me to focus on adjusting first and understand the Chiefs’ play and the goals will come.”

Amakhosi go into their next Absa Premiership league encounter against Platinum Stars with a three out of three record and would like to keep that record intact.

"We are working on becoming more clinical in front of goals, like we did in the Cup and exploit their weaknesses,” said Mthembu.

“We have to press them hard in their backyard.

"We will approach them with the same respect we have given them in the cup.” adds Mehembu.

Kaizer Chiefs face Platinum Stars on Wednesday, August 27. The match kicks off at 19:30.
