Cape Town - Katlego ‘Killer’ Mphela reveals that adding his name to the score sheet against Edu Sport FC was a confidence booster.

“It felt good,” reflects Mphela on the clubs official website.

It was the striker’s first official game since badly injuring his ankle in the MTN8 semi-final against Platinum Stars on August 24, 2014.

Killer netted once, in the 92nd minute, in the 3-0 win over Platinum Stars. He got injured when scoring the goal.

“I have been out for a long time.

“Scoring the goal was a great confidence booster.”

“I will work even harder to get more goals,” promises Mphela.

“It was amazing. I scored just before getting injured and now I got a goal soon after coming on as a substitute.

“Two goals in two games. That’s not bad.”

Amakhosi will travel to Botswana for the second leg of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League this Saturday, February 28. Chiefs won the first leg 2-1 at home.

The match is taking place at the National Stadium in Gaborone.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
