Mphela looking forward to PSL

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker, Katlego Mphela, is eager to get the campaign started after only featuring 11 times for Amakhosi last season.

“PE was good for the preparation. It offered the much needed calm and tranquillity you need for a preparation.”

Mphela, who joined the Naturena side from Mamelodi Sundowns after failing to get regular game time under Pitso Mosemane, says that pre-season went well.

“We are all happy with the way the camp went and look forward to produce the results when the league kicks off in a week’s time,” he said on the Glamour Boys website.

At the end of the PSL last season, Mphela was honest about his time at Sundowns claiming that he was unfit and it took him time to get back to his regular fitness.

“When I joined Chiefs I had not been playing at Sundowns and I had to work hard to regain my fitness. That took until towards the end of the season, when I was finally fit and ready to play. That’s why I was scoring,” he said.

Can Katlego Mphela break through and get the much needed game time he hopes for at Kaizer Chiefs?
