Mphela: I'm not finished

Cape Town – Katlego ‘Killer’ Mphela says that he knows “people have already written him off” as he was one of several players not handed a new contract at Kaizer Chiefs.

According to goal.com, Mphela is adamant that he will bounce back next season despite not having an official club poached his services yet.

“I’m not finished. I am aware some people have written me off,” said Mphela.

Killer, who joined Amakhosi in the Janaury 2014 transfer window, warmed the Chiefs’ bench and was mostly sidelined throughout his spell with niggling injuries.

Chiefs striking department boasted the likes of Bernard Parker and Kingston Nkhatha, who Killer had to fight against for a starting birth.

Amakhosi will find themselves without their biggest contributors next season as Kaizer Motaung announced a mass exodus of players and Mphela says that he leaves Naturena knowing that the club was always good to him.

“I must admit that I didn’t settle well at Chiefs, because of some things I cannot divulge at this stage. But I have no grudges against anybody at the club.

“The club was good to me and I’m sorry for any disappointment,” Mphela said.
