Amakhosi need only three points
to claim the 2014/15 Premiership crown, and will be hoping to see off the
challenge of Rise and Shine to claim the title from the clutches of reigning
Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Speaking to the assembled
journalists during the club's media open day, Mpela said: "Everyone at
camp knows what is at stake, we are still going to take each game as it comes -
it's not finished yet for us is to go out there and get those three points.
"We are still cautious,
because last year this time we were behind Mamelodi Sundowns with three or four
points. We learned from our mistakes, we haven't lost a game since we came back
from Morocco, we want to finish on the high.
Although 'Killer' says he hasn't
contributed much to Chiefs' recent success, he is happy to be part of a winning
"It is not nice as a soccer
player not to contribute, I've been unfortunate with injuries, so in that way I
can't blame myself," he added.
"I am starting to get there now,
I've been getting more game time - I am happy with the contribution, I have
played three games so far and we won all those games so it's a good sign.
"The more I play I get my
confidence back. I am happy about that. Right now it's more about
