Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Katlego Mphela says the mood is great at Naturena as they prepare to take on Polokwane City at FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi need only three points to claim the 2014/15 Premiership crown, and will be hoping to see off the challenge of Rise and Shine to claim the title from the clutches of reigning Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Speaking to the assembled journalists during the club's media open day, Mpela said: "Everyone at camp knows what is at stake, we are still going to take each game as it comes - it's not finished yet for us is to go out there and get those three points.

"We are still cautious, because last year this time we were behind Mamelodi Sundowns with three or four points. We learned from our mistakes, we haven't lost a game since we came back from Morocco, we want to finish on the high.

Although 'Killer' says he hasn't contributed much to Chiefs' recent success, he is happy to be part of a winning team.

"It is not nice as a soccer player not to contribute, I've been unfortunate with injuries, so in that way I can't blame myself," he added.

"I am starting to get there now, I've been getting more game time - I am happy with the contribution, I have played three games so far and we won all those games so it's a good sign.

"The more I play I get my confidence back. I am happy about that. Right now it's more about winning."

Kick-off is set for 19:30.
