Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns skipper Ramahlwe Mphahlele says he will continue to work hard in a bid to earn a call-up to Shakes Mashaba's Bafana Bafana.
The former South Africa Under-20 captain has been on the selection periphery since being ineligible for the junior national teams.
The 25-year-old has been overlooked for some time now and could have possibly made the difference in Bafana Bafana's abysmal performance against Mauritania, which resulted in a shock 3-1 defeat.
Despite being continually overlooked, Mphahlele is willing to bide his time.
"I don't think you have to look at the team and say you deserve to be there, because players who are there are also South Africans and they are representing the country," Mphahlele told KickOff.
"I just have to work hard and hope my chance will come. Of course it will be great to play for Bafana Bafana once more. Every player has a dream to play for his country and I'm no different."
