Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns will have their sights set on the three points on offer tonight (Tuesday) when they welcome Ajax Cape Town to Loftus Stadium.

According to the soccerladuma.co.za website, the Brazilians have not had the best of seasons this campaign, and with the business end of the 2012-13 season fast approaching, Downs will be looking to secure a top eight finish.

Currently sat in 11th place on the Absa Premiership table, after 22 rounds of league action, Sundowns will need to put in a number of solid performances if they are to claw their way into the top half of the log.

The Urban Warriors have struggled to find any sort of consistent form this season, however with a relegation battle on their hands, they will be up for the fight in Tshwane tonight(Tuesday).

Sundowns defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has stressed the fact that they cannot afford to make any mistakes. He said that they have lost several points this season due to unnecessary errors.

“We have to perform above ourselves and make sure we avoid mistakes to win games. It is games like these that we need to win to fight for a top eight position in the league. Ajax also need the three points if you look at the position they are in on the league.

“So every game at the moment is very important for all the team and if we avoid our mistakes, we can win games and reach the top eight which is our target right now," the former Moroka Swallows defender said.
