According to KickOff, Motsepe is eager to bring games much closer to their supporters in both Mamelodi and Soshanguve.
“We have been talking for the last few years and we even suggested that we may also try to contribute towards getting it (HM Pitje Stadium) in the right condition,” said the club’s president.
“We would like to continue to engage as we would also like to take some of our games at HM Pitje and maybe one or two games at Giant Stadium (Soshanguve) as part of our commitment to bringing football to townships.”
This should be exciting news for ‘Downs fans as it make for an exhilarating experience and hopefully the filling up the stadiums.
The businessman has admitted that he was set out to only use 3% of his time with Sundowns issues when he purchased The Brazilians.
“I love Sundowns, we grew up loving football, we are passionate about it but the focus of my time has to be the prime obligation I have as an entrepreneur, as a businessman and as a South African.”
He concluded by saying, “Sundowns will always occupy a special place in my heart.”
