Motaung confirms Baloyi return

Cape Town - More than a decade after his controversial departure, legendary goalkeeper Brian Baloyi is set to make a return to Kaizer Chiefs to take up a role as a development coach.

As a player back in 2004, the 'keeper infamously abandoned the Amakhosi ship to join big spending rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, with few at Naturena thought to have forgiven his betrayal.

However, his talents as a keeper are undoubted and Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has since confirmed Baloyi has been earmarked for a position in the club's youth management structures.

"There are no changes [to the technical team], I think Brian is more of a long-term plan looking at the academy," Motaung told KickOff.

"So the technical team will remain the same, like the chairman (Kaizer Motaung) said last week, but we are also looking at long-term in terms of beefing up our youth structures."
