Amakhosi, who recently parted ways with coach Vladimir Vermezovic, suffered their third straight defeat this past Sunday - losing 2-1 to relegation-threatened Santos.
The result leaves sixth-placed Chiefs eight points off leaders Orlando Pirates, but with a game in hand on the top five teams.
Motaung admits the Glamour Boys are hurting, going as far as to issue an apology to their fans on the club's website.
"We would like to apologise to the fans that have supported the club through and through," he said. "The fans are dying for this club and as players we are aware that they are hurting at this stage.
"We are quite aware of the responsibility that comes with wearing the gold and black and I am sure I speak for all the guys when I say that we do not take this lightly. Things have not been working our way but sometimes these things happen in football.
"We will go back to the training pitch and continue working hard to turn things around. We have five games left with SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns coming up on Saturday and Wednesday respectively so we cannot afford to dwell on what has happened in our last three games but focus on turning things around starting on Saturday," concluded the 30-year-old.
