According to KickOff, Mosimane admits that his side were still feeling a bit down following losing to Kaizer Chiefs in their midweek Premiership encounter.
“Everyone pulled together as a team and I feel good that we came right. You could see that the players were still down after the defeat to Chiefs but the win has lifted our spirits,” said Mosimane.
Sundowns reclaimed second place in the Premiership standings with a 2-1 victory over 10-man Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Brazilians opened the scoring after 14 minutes through Hlompho Kekana, before Katlego Mashego doubled their advantage shortly before the half-hour mark.
And, although Letladi Madubanya managed to pull one back for Dikwena just before the break, Solomon Mathe's sending off midway through the second period ended any hopes the hosts had of completing the comeback.
"It was not the best of performances but we won and this is what matters the most.
"The players were not allowed to play their normal game by Platinum Stars and it was not an easy one. We had to fight for it all the way and I am happy that we collected the maximum points at the end of the day.”
