Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane could not hide his disappointed after his side were held to a goalless draw by Mpumalanga Black Aces in a Premiership encounter on Wednesday.
The defending league champions had the better of the play at the Lucas Moripe Stadium but were unable to make their dominance count, with a host of missed chances coming back to haunt them.
"I am disappointed with the result," commented Mosimane.
"We missed a lot of chances and failed to make the proper decisions - shooting when we were supposed to pass and passing when we were supposed to shoot.
"We were good in the final third with Khama [Billiat] and Surprise [Moriri], but we always cry for these chances. I tried to motivate the guys, to keep them going, and at half-time I had to calm them down."
Adding to Mosimane's frustration is the fact that his side have played worse and won, with luck not on their side this week.
"But football … it is something else. Against AmaZulu we didn’t play well but we won. Today we played well and didn’t win," he bemoaned.
The result leaves Sundowns 12 points off the pace set by league leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
