"We are disappointed that we didn't win, but the performance was good," Mosimane said after Sundowns' 1-1 draw with Chippa United in Athlone on Wednesday.
"The team shows dominance, the team shows it's Sundowns. The team shows a little bit of arrogance and that's what we need."
Sundowns seemed to have turned the corner going into the two-month Premiership break for the holiday period and the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
After languishing on the bottom of the log earlier in the season, they were now in 10th place on 18 points, while Chippa United were second-to-last in the standings on 12 points.
Since taking over from Johan Neeskens, Mosimane had seen his side picking up eight points from four games. There were victories over Wits and Black Leopards, and draws against Free Stars and Chippa.
Mosimane remained positive the team had turned the corner after their earlier season struggles.
"We did our best; we controlled the game, we dominated. We played against a team with a lot of resilience and resistance, with a well-organised defence. We didn't have enough luck to win the game. The team is improving game by game."
Mosimane believed there had been significant improvements to the side since he took over the reins.
"In the general play, the passing," he said.
"I'm happy that we are scoring at least one goal per game. It gives us hope. This team is improving, but let's give it time."
Meanwhile, Chippa coach Farouk Abrahams felt his charges were on the up.
"I'm very proud of the guys -- with all the dominance, they didn't break us from open play. We can build on something like that.
"I'm happy, a point against a Sundowns team firing on all cylinders, I'm very happy.
"We didn't play for a draw, we play off minimum chances, but we must take those chances. We don't always show the maturity needed."
