Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is adamant that Liberian forward Anthony Laffor will stay at the club.

Laffor’s contract with the Brazilians runs out at the end of June, and to date there have been no indications that he will sign a new deal, which has led to speculation that he will join Kaizer Chiefs, where coach Stuart Baxter has made no secret of his admiration for the player.
Making his first Premiership start of the campaign, the former Jomo Cosmos and SuperSport United attacking midfielder scored both of Sundowns’ goals in a 2-1 win over Maritzburg United on Tuesday night, after which Mosimane underlined the player’s importance to the club.
"Rumours are rumours and we are busy dealing with Anthony's contract," said Mosimane.
"It was the best time to play him and show us what he can do.
“I said prior to him, 'go there and fight for your contract and show us what you can do, we love you'.
"We want him to stay at Sundowns and I said to him 'the team wants you and needs you too and you are a Sundowns player'. And he said, 'coach I don't want to leave and I want to stay at Sundowns,' and I said okay."
